Today was good. Up at 10AM, off to Palmy at 12.30PM, shopping at Farmers for an hour or so (2 pairs of jeans, 3 tops, and a pair of tights), to lunch in Fielding afterwards, and lastly groceries at Woolies. All in all, not too bad of an afternoon.
That is, until we get home. While I was at Farmers Mum went to Briscoes and bought a $280 stainless steel bin for the kitchen. Ellie and I were opening it earlier and as I pulled the cardboard apart I realized I'd scratched it with the scissors. Not just a small nick, but a huge, deep gash about thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis long. The thing is that she didn't even sound that angry, just really disappointed, which we all know is a lot worse. Although, I wish she'd be -angry +disappointed more often- it makes me want to shout less, which is good.
On the other hand, my new jeans are really cool. I shall wear them to SCHOOL TOMORROW probably. YEAH. SCHOOL TOMORROW. JUST REMINDING YOU. HA.
I just ruined your afternoon, didn't I? Good. Now you feel as bad as I do.
On the other hand, the OTHER one that has not been used yet, I will finally find out who my teachers are and who is in my classes, and of course, I will see everyone again! :D :D
Early night tonight... that is, if I don't end up watching Skins till midnight again...
Adios :)

Just a thought...
Wouldn't it be awesome if I got Waldo (from Where's Waldo) tattooed on me? Then people could be like "I found Waldo!" XD
Maybe on my back somewhere, near my shoulder, where you can see it depending on what I wear. Thoughts, anyone? :D
Back tattoos hurt quite a lot (apparently) compared to getting them in other places, such as the arm or leg, because there isn't as much padding. I'm old enough to get one so long as I have my mum's permission, and I think she would give it to me. It'd only be small, so not too expensive.

That IS the right spelling of "coloured", Firefox :|
This box was sitting here blank for ages before I decided on what to write. I think it's because I usually only blog when I'm feeling particularly stressed or worried (which seems to happen a lot), but right now I'm just happy :)
Today was an ordinary day. I got up at 11AM, had breakfast, checked my mail... Then at around 2PM my mum and I drove to W(h)anganui to pick up a greyhound from the track. She's a really sweet little honey coloured thing named Fleur. We got home at around 5PM. We had some Malamute people visiting and some greyhound people too, so it was around 8PM by the time we had dinner (fish and chips! :D).
That's all, I guess. Just gonna close with this photo. My mum took it at Tangimoana beach yesterday. It's my sister's 3 y/o greyhound Chase. Stunning, right? :D

Sortin' out my future lebensraum.
So many goddamn blogs. I'm terribly sorry for spamming you guys, but now that this blog is here I must update it every time I feel the need.
So I've been thinking (and I'll keep this ASAP- As Short As Possible) about life after high school. I've considered degrees in History, some kind of Tourism thing, and most recently, Business and Marketing. I've been looking around Google, and I found that Victoria, down in Wellington, does some very good marketing courses. They run for around 3 years, and once you're done you'll be in demand all over the world. Wouldn't that be awesome? I could move to America or England or somewhere crazy like Russia!
Another bonus is that I love Wellington as a city. Last year I went down there three times (once in April for the Armageddon Expo, once in Term 2 for French and once again at some point for Economics). Each time I was struck by the shiny-ness of Lambton Quay, the flash housing, the trees, the sea, the flowers... I want to live there so bad.
Here are some links I picked up:
- Accommodation Service: http://www.victoria.ac.nz/st_services/accommodation/index.aspx
- Sample Budgets: http://www.victoria.ac.nz/st_services/finadvice/surviving/budgets.aspx#weekly
- Details about a Marketing course: http://www.victoria.ac.nz/home/study/subjects/offered/mark.aspx
This is my last year of school, so this is when I really need to think about this stuff. Hopefully sometime this year I can go to an open day at Victoria, and maybe one in Christchurch (Canterbury or Lincoln) as backup.

And here's another thing I want to keep track of; the book I read this year. Last year I didn't read anywhere near as much as I used to.
These are my conquests so far:
- The Dead Zone by Stephen King
- A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
- Under The Dome by Stephen King.
This morning I started reading Perfume, by Patrick Suskund. Also lined up to read I have:
- The Stand by Stephen King
- The Cider House Rules by John Irving
- The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Over and out (again!) :)
P.S. Lebensraum is the German word for living space :D I know this thanks to Lvl 1 History :P

If my eyes could take pictures

The world is beautiful. People with the power to capture that are also beautiful. I wish I could. I wish I has tiny little cameras in my eyes, so that whenever I saw something that I knew an ordinary camera wouldn't do the same for as my eyes, I'd mentally go *snap!*.
If I were better at drawing maybe I could capture this beauty in a different way. That's why I plan to draw more, every few days, if I can. I have lots of paints (gouache, water colour and acrylic), I have charcoal, coloured pencils, dry pastels, sketch pencils... It's just, I see pictures like this:

and I wish so, so badly that I could do that. Even half that well...
So I'm going to practice. I have the materials, now I just need to teach myself how to use them properly.
Au revoir, readers :) xx
Like a parent before a wedding
She has given her blessing.
I am happy. Hopefully things can stay this way :)
