So I've been thinking (and I'll keep this ASAP- As Short As Possible) about life after high school. I've considered degrees in History, some kind of Tourism thing, and most recently, Business and Marketing. I've been looking around Google, and I found that Victoria, down in Wellington, does some very good marketing courses. They run for around 3 years, and once you're done you'll be in demand all over the world. Wouldn't that be awesome? I could move to America or England or somewhere crazy like Russia!
Another bonus is that I love Wellington as a city. Last year I went down there three times (once in April for the Armageddon Expo, once in Term 2 for French and once again at some point for Economics). Each time I was struck by the shiny-ness of Lambton Quay, the flash housing, the trees, the sea, the flowers... I want to live there so bad.
Here are some links I picked up:
- Accommodation Service: http://www.victoria.ac.nz/st_services/accommodation/index.aspx
- Sample Budgets: http://www.victoria.ac.nz/st_services/finadvice/surviving/budgets.aspx#weekly
- Details about a Marketing course: http://www.victoria.ac.nz/home/study/subjects/offered/mark.aspx
This is my last year of school, so this is when I really need to think about this stuff. Hopefully sometime this year I can go to an open day at Victoria, and maybe one in Christchurch (Canterbury or Lincoln) as backup.

And here's another thing I want to keep track of; the book I read this year. Last year I didn't read anywhere near as much as I used to.
These are my conquests so far:
- The Dead Zone by Stephen King
- A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
- Under The Dome by Stephen King.
This morning I started reading Perfume, by Patrick Suskund. Also lined up to read I have:
- The Stand by Stephen King
- The Cider House Rules by John Irving
- The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
Over and out (again!) :)
P.S. Lebensraum is the German word for living space :D I know this thanks to Lvl 1 History :P
