Fools in love, are there any other kinds of lovers?
Fools in love, is there any other kind of pain?
Everything you do, everywhere you go now
Everything you touch, everything you feel
Everything you see, everything you know now
Everything you do, you do it for your baby love,
your baby love, your baby love, your baby love
Fools in love, are there any creatures more pathetic?
Fools in love, never knowing when they lost the game.
Everything you do, everywhere you go now
Everything you touch, everything you feel
Everything you see, everything you know now
Everything you do, you do it for your baby love,
your baby love, your baby love, your baby love
Fools in love they think they're heroes,
'Cause they get to feel no pain
I say fools in love are zeroes
I should know, I should know
Because this fool's in love again
Fools in love, gently hold each other's hands forever
Fools in love, gently tear each other limb from limb
Fools in love, is there any other kind of pain?
Everything you do, everywhere you go now
Everything you touch, everything you feel
Everything you see, everything you know now
Everything you do, you do it for your baby love,
your baby love, your baby love, your baby love
Fools in love, are there any creatures more pathetic?
Fools in love, never knowing when they lost the game.
Everything you do, everywhere you go now
Everything you touch, everything you feel
Everything you see, everything you know now
Everything you do, you do it for your baby love,
your baby love, your baby love, your baby love
Fools in love they think they're heroes,
'Cause they get to feel no pain
I say fools in love are zeroes
I should know, I should know
Because this fool's in love again
Fools in love, gently hold each other's hands forever
Fools in love, gently tear each other limb from limb
-- Inara George, "Fools in Love".
I post this simply because I like the song and lyrics, not because it bears any significance to me :)
Today was a pretty good day. After History and Geo (second and third) I felt so happy, and so sad at the same time. I wanted to laugh and cry, and I did neither. I'm not saying why.
It was sunny again today, so we sat outside the library, in our old spot. I actually kinda hate that place, for two reasons, those being that in the sun it's pretty much unbearably bright and because of some of the memories associated with it. We spent a long time there, and that place holds a lot of memories, some good, some bad. I'm pretty happy with where we sit now, in the A Block corridor, because it's moderately warm and out of the elements.
I'm not really sure what else to say. Have I said everything I have to say already? I've tackled group problems, family problems, school problems and heaps more. I've had moments where I've tried to be philosophical and posts where I've tried to sound smart.
Actually, I do have two questions. One of them I'm sure has an obvious answer. These are them:
One: Is being gay going against nature? I don't have anything against those who are, but I mentioned it to Jessica today and she said no. I just thought that since women and men are made to copulate with one another, in order to populate the earth (this being the primal reason for those bits we all (I'm amusing) have), being gay would be like going against nature, right? Defying the "normal" human relationship? Thoughts, please.
Two: Fire needs oxygen to burn. In drama yesterday this was bought up: If the sun is a burning ball of fire and there is no oxygen in space, how does it continue burning? Does it have some kind of self-fueling thing, or (and this is the speculation of my sister) does it suck any oxygen there is out of the atmosphere, leaving little or none for human life? Thoughts, again, please?
That's all for today. I'm pretty sure I burned a whole heap of calories with all that thinking. It's an exhausting process ;)
Au revoir :)
1) I think gays are there to be population control, meself. Plus, I bet it's fun. Seems fun. Rainbow colours, sharing clothes, both being able to check the same person out and laugh over it <> ABBA. If you're a guy. :)
ReplyDelete2) Sun is burning ball of gas. Made of gas. very hot. Gas burns. :3
Well, first of all, the sun's power is nuclear, that's why it's called radiation when it burns its way through our atmosphere. It's not really fire. The nuclear reaction that happens in the sun is between, er, hydrogen and something else (okay, so I don't know EVRYTHING) and this is what keeps the sun burning, and eventually it'll burn out because this reaction will eventually run out of the necessary chemicals.
ReplyDeleteYour sister (no offence) is stupid for suggesting that. xD
Secondly...I'm intelligent, listen to me! xD
Nah, I just think that you have to differentiate between the mental/emotional side of a relationship, which is the same for either side of the coin, and the sexual/physical side, which is the thing I guess you're driving at.
Personally, I think that yes, inter-personal relationships did develop in primal man (slah woman, or I could say humankind, but 'man' sounds more educated) because of the need for reproduction. But over time, these primarily sexual relationships developed into deeper relationships, with an emotional bond. And I reckon that seeing as there's more than enough disgusting people in the world now, the original reasons for human inimacy no longer matter. :P
After all, most human beings now seek out relationships for love rather than sex. Well, apart from the sluts. And of course, homosexuality was considered a higher form of love in a few civilisations...I think the Greeks were one...and we all know that the Ancient Greeks were always right, about everything. :P
Yeah, I don't really know what I'm talking about. I'm just filling in time while my YouTube videos convert to MP3 files.
^^ Well, that's one way to make all the philosophical/intelligent things you just said (typed?) sound dumb. Go Jess!
WOAW!! Look at that epic commentation!! Woot woot!
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against gays myself. People are free to love whoever they like. But yes it is against nature. It sounds cruel but it's true. Men are supposed to like women and women are supposed to like men simply for the purpose of reproduction and continuation of the species. If all females only liked other females or if all men only liked men then the species would end right there.
ReplyDeleteBut i have nothing against people liking their own gender. In this day and age people are free to do so. I just dislike it when people (generally females) decide to just 'go gay' just for the experience or for the heck of it when they aren't really gay and still like the opposite gender.
So yes, it's against nature. But even so people should not be criticised and discriminated against for how they feel.
haha man I'm so nosy. Your life is always such a mysetery, you never explain things on your blog. Or maybe I just never get things :/
ReplyDeleteI'm not even going to answer the sun question. I dislike science.
I don't think being gay is going against nature. Sure men and woman are meant to 'populate the earth' but for one there aren't equal numbers of men and woman, and two not all woman have kids, as well as some have more than enough. And if your going to say that being gay goes against nature you may as well say those people who physically can't have children go against nature too, or people born with mental or physical defects. Maybe it does go against nature, but it doesn't make it wrong.
Especially not in todays society. Plus I don't exactly think its a choice.
And then there's the cliche of personality over appearance. Is this really true if you only like the opposite sex? I don't see any issue with the GLBT community. I have met some of the lovliest gays in my life, my cousin is gay and he's just the sweetest man ever. I also know some lesbians who are just like anyone else. It's not like they chose to 'defy nature' and be that way. People can't help who they fall in love with.
Chickens will rule the world...
ReplyDeleteThat's my contribution!
