I wanna live in London. This sub teacher we had in Tourism yesterday spent the entire lesson telling us about how he lived in London for two years on a working visa and traveled around Europe. He went to Oktoberfest and the Maldives and he lived in a flat with 8 other people. Once I finish uni I want to do that. I want to go to London and find work and see lots of cool shit. Apparently (I don't actually want to do this) you get 200 pounds a day for teaching at some of the schools over there, because they're so out of control and rough and dangerous.
So today was good. There were some things it could have done without, like the rain, but other than that I actually felt like going to school was worthwhile. I had heaps of cool conversations with people in class, and History was awesome because only 4 people were there and there was all this discussion going on. I didn't have Tourism, and I handed in my 3rd completed booklet for Classics. Geo was cruisy, and English was good too because I finally decided on a topic for my column: Subliminal Advertising. I found some awesome stuff on the web about it.
And then, to top off all the goodness, I didn't have to catch the bus home. I thank raptor Jesus for this.
Last night I couldn't sleep, so I turned on C4 and had a little watch of What's The Theme? The theme was "Remember This?" . It had some awesome songs, like Teenage Dirtbag by Weezer, and Closing Time by Semisonic, and Sex and Candy by Macy Playground. They also played Drops of Jupiter (Train) and I realized that I've pretty much grown up with that song. It's still one of my favourites. I just feel like it's always been there in my life, and whenever I listen to it I feel all nostalgic and I think of Auckland and our old red Mitsubishi and my old school in Albany and my old friends.
Something I've been thinking of is to stop wishing for impossible things. It really gets me down a lot, wanting things. It's just so useless.
Comment on this blog you guys. I need to know that some people still read it. Also tell me what song you're listening to. Mine's Dear God, by Avenged Sevenfold :P
